Combat Words (combatwords.com) is a multiplayer word game run by Robert Finger Software. This page explains what we collect and why.

What we store

• Account details: your username, email address and a salted hash of your password (we never store the password itself).
• Game data: the results of finished games, your win statistics and leaderboard position, which are visible to other players by username. Saved game setups are visible only to you.
• Live games are held in memory while they are played. Secret words and guesses are not kept once a game is over, apart from the result.
• Server logs: our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure) records standard request information such as IP address and time.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms from forgery. These are needed for the game to work.

Advertising

Free accounts may see banner ads. Plus members, and visitors who are not signed in, do not. Ads may be served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage or opt out of personalised advertising in Google's ad settings or at aboutads.info. Children

Combat Words is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
